My husband, family and friends referred to me as a cat magnet years ago when lost and displaced kitties seemed to end up on my doorstep quite frequently. As an adult we have housed and loved 7 cats to this date and found homes for an additional 7. My husband rescued a badly injured cat on a major highway seeming to ignore the oncoming cars as he ran down the center line to grab the cat. Our dog Zoe seen pictured with me is from a shelter in rural Indiana. She is my daughter's greatest friend and clown of our home.
I spent 5 years working in the pharmaceutical industry, but never felt I had found my place. After having our daughter Jillian 6 years ago, it became clear to me after she was born that my life was with my family. Art has always been second nature for me, however I have no formal training. My paintings have always depicted animals and cats and dogs are clearly most enjoyable to paint. It only makes sense now that the words cat magnet would appear in my life once again.
